Angela Constance MSP for Livingston commented,
‘Domestic Abuse still remains a blight on Scottish society.  The work that West Lothian Women’s Aid continues to do across Scotland; offering refuge and support, is imperative to the safety of women and children.  I know first-hand as the constituency and MSP for Livingston, that Women’s Aid touches the lives of many women in West Lothian by offering them a route to safety.’

Councillor Isobel Hutton describes her reason for supporting West Lothian Women’s Aid.
‘As a councillor it is sad, that in the twenty-first century we are dealing with this level of violence against women and children in the home.  By working with the voluntary sector, we can change the lives of women and children.  West Lothian Women’s Aid is a non-judgemental organisation, which places no fault or directive on the women and offers them a safe environment to decide their future outcome.
‘A friend of mine and her children were affected by domestic abuse.   After using the services offered by Women’s Aid, she now sings their praises and I am therefore wholly supportive of West Lothian Women’s Aid.’
